Claymore Cottage is our beautiful selfcatering bungalow in Aviemore,it is set in a quiet treelined cul-de-sac with beautiful views of the Cairngorm Mountains and the Spey Valley.

Aviemore is a busy all year round resort situated at the bottom of the Cairngorm Mountains in the heart of the cairngorm national park in the Scottish Highlands,offering an exceptional choice of all year round activities for all ages.

There is lochs to swim,windsurf,canoe and kayak,rivers to fish salmon,mountains to climb or ski with the cairngorm mountains with 35km of pistes,forests to explore and see wildlife,quad biking,mountain biking,offroad driving,clay pigeon shooting,swimming in two leisure centres 1 with water slides and endless walks both flat or mountainous depending on how strenuous you want it to be.

There is at least 8 golf courses within a short drive of Aviemore with courses for all standards of golfer including the new Spey Valley Championship Course.

Aviemore is a traditional highland village with plenty of character and a wide variety of shops,bars,restaurants and banks.

Travel to Aviemore is easy by road,air or train and the main railway station is only 5 minutes from our home and the airport in Inverness the capital of the Highlands is only  a 30 minute drive from our home.
